Allen ISD Voters Pass Propositions A and C
The Allen Chamber of Commerce extends its sincere congratulations to Allen ISD on the passage of Propositions A and C. The Chamber was proud to endorse the bond proposal and appreciates the support of the business community and Allen ISD voters for taking the time to learn about the bond, make their voices heard at the polls, and deliver a successful result for the Allen community.
Proposition A was the largest portion of the overall bond proposal, totaling $419 million of investments for improvements to campus security, capital improvements to several campuses, and transportation upgrades to replace buses and enhance safety features. It passed with 56% of the vote.
Proposition C included $23 million to upgrade classroom technology, improve Wi-Fi security and reliability, and update student devices. It passed with 53% of the vote.
In what proved to be a difficult environment for bond elections elsewhere across the state, Allen ISD voters stood apart as a community that recognized the importance of continued investment in education, workforce development, and the overall prosperity of our community. Thank you for your support!
